Bought the can opener and having ha hard time getting it to work..any instructions for this one

    • June 27, 2012

Make sure that the EZ squeeze is completely released by pressing the Chef’n logo on the top and release. As you squeeze down, wait to hear a “snapping” sound to be sure that the gears have successfully pierced the can (I have personally found myself sometimes missing this crucial step as it is easy to feel like the can opener is locked on when it is in fact not). Continue squeezing until lid is free. If you are still having issues please contact us at or by calling 866-642-4336. Thank you!

I bought several pink translucent kitchen tools at Target. I liked them so well that I wanted to get some for my daughter and granddaughters. When I went back to Target they no longer had them or empty places where they would be. The lady working in that area told me she didn’t think they had them anymore. I checked Target on-line and did not find them. Can you tell me where I can find them?

    • January 14, 2013

      Hi Francis,

We’ve sent your question to our customer service team at You should hear from them within the next few days at your email address. Thanks for writing!

I just bought your emulstir…is this plastic bpa free? It does not say anything about it on any label.

      Hi Cathy,

Thank you for your inquiry. The Emulstir is BPA free. We’ve updated our packaging recently to reflect that, we hope it starts to hit the market soon. Enjoy your purchase!

Never mind my note to you, just posted 3-8-13. I just had to pull on the green ring harder than I thought I would. Something sort of popped and now the plunger works perfectly. Jane

I have one of your 4 in 1 cheese graters. At first I was thrilled with it but after a few times of using it I noticed cracks beginning to appear in the perspex sides. Now the white plastic uprights are cracking and pieces are falling off. It is literally falling to pieces before my eyes. Please help.

Where can you find these products. I saw them on the TODAY show. I like the garlic slicer but I don,t know how to order it.

    Your products rock!

Now and then, well it is quite often, I come up with innovations to make life easier. I work as an innovator/inventor where I identify needs and then come up with possible solutions on a early stage concept basis. Quite a few of them have been patentable. Some of them are sold and there are plenty more where they came from.

Would you be interested in taking part of my innovations/inventions?

    All the best

I have veggie chopper and love it. Makes great pico de gallo. Used it this weekend and the retractable cord is stuck. Can I get replacement parts or is it time to just buy a new one? Would love to fix this one and buy a new one. One for home and one for the cabin. Please let me know where I can buy replacement parts and a new one? Thanks! Kim

    • December 11, 2013

      Greetings from Chef’n.

Thanks for writing to us about the VeggiChop™. We are sorry to hear your pull-cord is not retracting. Occasionally when the internal gears are stressed or the cord is pulled to the very end of its tether, the rewinding mechanism will freeze up and will not allow the cord to rewind into its housing. There is a quick fix for this.

In the center of the inside lid you will see a hexagonal-shaped piece. This is the center of the housing for the pull-cord. Using your finger, twist this piece clockwise to engage the retracting mechanism. Much like the retractable seatbelts in your car, the rewinding gear needs a little tug to get it back in working order.

If this does not fix the problem, please write back @ and we will take the next step. We hope this information has been helpful, we are always happy to help.
